Hung out with my friend Stephen Boyer the other day in their Chelsea bedroom. Stephen’s first novel PARASITE was recently published, and I can honestly say I’m obsessed with it — it made me very nostalgic for a San Francisco that doesn’t really exist anymore.

Hey everyone, can you please signal boost this?
CASTING FOR QUEER BOOK COVER PHOTO SHOOT:
Casting for the cover of author Rhiannon Argo’s upcoming queer young adult novel. Looking for model in either New York City or San Francisco to be photographed by Amos Mac between March and June with the following features:
Female, caucasian, dark chin or shoulder length hair (can vary), who looks youngish (someone who can pass for around 16-18), should have a tomboy look/vibe and can be available for a photo shoot in the NYC or SF area. NYC preferred. Unpaid but your beautiful mug will be on the cover of a queer book and you will receive photo print from the shoot and of course the book in exchange.
If interested please email a photo to the publisher at Moonshineroadpress@gmail.com or send a quick note to photographer Amos Mac’s Tumblr inbox.
San Francisco author Rhiannon Argo’s award winning book The Creamsickle was just published for German fans… and they used an ancient photo of mine for the cover! I shot this in front of the Lexington Club specifically for this book cover, but it was so long ago I forgot about it. Congrats, Argo!

I know I don’t really talk on here, ever. I prefer to use this blog solely as a way to release my latest work to the people who care about it the most before the photograph goes anywhere else. That being said, I want to give you something for free because I’m honestly grateful for the diverse amount of followers I have.
My question for you: If I gave a contest winner a large photo print (real photo, not poster paper) of any work I’ve released via tumblr, which print should I offer up? And if you don’t want to win a rare photo print of my work, is there something else would you be interested in winning from me?
(I will consider all answers before launching my first ever contest November 1st!)
XO and thanks for reading,
AMOS
